Non member attendance
at EPFSF luncheons and briefings
The European Parliamentary
Financial Services Forum has always welcomed non-members and various
guests at EPFSF briefings and lunches. The recent increase of
MEP presence and industry membership has led to an increased demand
for places – a demand which, in view of the limited seating
capacity afforded by the parliamentary dining rooms, will now
have to be managed on a more formal basis.
The Steering Committee and
the Administrative Committee have agreed that individuals who
are not Members of the European Parliament or members of the Financial
Industry Committee will still be eligible to attend EPFSF events,
but they will be limited to no more than two meetings per institution
per annum. The Forum reserves the right, managed by the Chair
of the Administrative Committee, to admit individuals to attend
additional meetings where either they are invited as speakers
or there are certain exceptional circumstances justifying their
attendance. It is, of course, entirely open to organisations or
individuals which wish to attend EPFSF briefings and luncheons
on a regular basis, to apply for membership of the Financial Industry
Committee. Members of the European Parliament will continue to
have priority rights of attendance followed by members of the
Financial Industry Committee.
